This Rangel guy is a dirt bag. 31 percent of rent controlled apartments are located in Manhattan where his apartment are and 12% of these people make over $100k, him included. These regulations only seem to benefit him, not the poor which he claims to be helping with his “progressive” policies, if anything these rent controls make apartments more expensive in all outer NYC boroughs.

I don’t really reckon this video indicts Rangel on any account. He has helped pass through some progressive legislation. And if I am right, I am pretty sure he is the one who brought attention to his own tax payment discrepancies. My knowledge of the incidents are a bit limited, but I do not reckon much of the violations – rich people make them often since they usually do not do their own taxes.
